Like all Zildjian, FX series cast bronze cymbals, are exclusively poured and cast from raw molten metal. All casting is cooled and classified by weight for each cymbal model. Later, castings are put through multiple sequences of heating, rolling, shaping, hammering, and lathing techniques unique to each cymbal range. These cast bronze cymbals have a deep, full-bodied sound that improves with age. Zildjian A0616 also have greater projection, clarity, and durability than any other cymbals. These cast cymbals are made from the Zildjian secret alloy, which is included of 80% copper, 20% tin, and traces of silver.
