Zoom iQ5 White Professional Stereo Microphone uses a unique rotating mechanism that allows audio recording with accurate left-right stereo orientation whether used horizontally or vertically. Utilize it in standard audio position or simply rotate it to the video position to record video with the connected iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch held horizontally. This Mid-side recording performs easy for anyone to record in realistic stereo. The iQ5 carries two microphone elements, a directional mid mic that captures audio arriving from in front, and a bi-directional side mic that incorporates ambient signal.

Stereo width can be designed for an accurate recording situation. Arrange it to 90° to hone in on a particular sound, or 120° for a wider image that includes the surrounding ambiance and vibration. For extra control, record the mid and side mic signals as raw MS data so that you can next modify the stereo width from 30° to 150° with Zoom's Free Handy Recorder iOS app.

The iQ5 offers it comfortable to take great sound no matter what type of stuff you’re recording. Dial-in the exact input level you need with the analog-type MIC GAIN wheel, pick Auto Gain to automatically set the ideal recording level or use the Limiter setting to bypass overloads.
