The 1.2mm steel shell sensitivity and power make it the best choice for the live environment. It possesses a cutting crack for unplugged applications and a fair body under close mics in the studio. Sound Arc flanged hoops are qualified for the classic open tone of the Soundworks Steel snare. The corners of these 2.3mm hoops are bent inward to provide the natural tone of the steel shell to glow. It also features an Evans G1 Coated batter head always ready to rock out of the box. This sound head plays a 10mm film with a controlled, warm attack and good brush or stick response.
