Samson MDA1 Mono Active Direct Box designed to offers you premium sound circuitry with roadworthy, durable construction, presenting high-quality signal connection solutions for a recording studio and live sound applications. It runs on either phantom power or batteries and allows precise, balanced lines to be transferred from your guitars and basses. It is perfect for connecting devices with passive pickups, which have extremely high impedances, by maintaining the top end of the instrument's frequency response.

The balanced output offers a clear signal that is less sensitive to noise than an unbalanced line, providing for longer cable runs. Additionally,  a 2-position 0dB/-15dB attenuation switch allows you to adapt the MDA1 to a broad variety of signals. The Thru jack allows you to tap off the signal from the input and transfer the signal to an amp or monitor without harming the original audio. Packed in a 14-gauge steel chassis, it is made to withstand the damage of the most demanding live tours. Its hard outer shell keeps all the MDA1's internal connections, solder joints, and switches from failure, ensuring smooth, stable performance.
