This Ibanez AW65ECE-LG is part of the company's long-established Artwood reach of acoustics that includes a broad variety of body sizes, surfaces and specs. Our guitar is a Dreadnought that has a cutaway for a way to the dusty end. A cutaway on an acoustic is absolutely a common sight nowadays and usually for you is a pleasant addition. The top is hard cedar and the neck, back and sides are mahogany. The sequence of the mahogany and the dreadnought body size provides that intense warm but open sound that really projects when you like it. The surface is defined by Ibanez as 'Natural Low Gloss' which changes to a satin finish that shows off the grain of the wood. It has a nice work man like feel to it and rarely. Some guitars can look so ornate that you cry at the smallest mark they pick up and all played the guitars pick up marks but I think the more you play this guitar, the reality it will look. The appearance of a solid top suggests it will get totally better.

Ovangkol fretboard & bridge:

Ovangkol produces a strong midrange with a sharp high end.

Ibanez Advantage bridge pins:

These pins actually are an advantage up old-fashioned pins. Good pins are easier to take out and gently to put in than standard pins. A unique bulb-shaped end makes the pin easy to grip and also checks the pin from being pushed in too far.
