Moreover, the attractive quilt Maple top is varnished in a beautiful Trans Red lacquer for a visually pleasing aesthetic. Ultramatic UM-3/TR Electric Guitar features an ultra-accessible higher register due to the double-cutaway design and comfortable arched body shape. The arch top solid body but the appearance isn't the exclusive benefit of this style guitar. Solid archtop has a slight extra weight so it'll feel nice and firm in your hands and it packs a real punch with an added attack and sustain. This has a larger mass under the bridge which provides extra rigidity and prevents the body from stealing any energy from the strings.
