Gibson SGS-EBCH1 SG Standard Ebony Electric Guitar design which featured a thinner mahogany body with beveled edges and sharp horns, so the guitar ultimately got a new name, The SG, stood for Solid Guitar. The combination of a wide but thin mahogany neck with the light of a rosewood fingerboard, you'll admire the SG Standard. A big success for Gibson the top design for the times. Most of the SG's were finished in Cherry, which was all the rage in the '60s, however, some were built in either solid black or white. First SG Standard was truly at the top of the SG food chain back in the '60s, though it still sold well because it provided all the features most guitarists wanted in terms of playability and tone.

Gibson SG Standard has developed little from those original guitars. Comes with a couple of humbuckers with chrome covers and the larger (and in our opinion) better-looking pickguard. This Gibson SG Standard feels fast and precise. Each note sounds heavy and sharp, and the fret edges feel smooth as silk. This SG Standard arrives with a pair of chrome-covered 'buckers, a 490R in the neck position and a 498T in the bridge position for strong power, whether you're performing rhythm or digging into a solo. Gibson SG Standard has a large part to PLEK processing.
