Characteristics all of the high-end appointments that are suited for a King. Mislay the F-holes, and great live the King. Features introduce a custom B.B. King signature brass Lucille engraved truss rod cover, engraved bridge pickup cover, and Crown Mother of Pearl headstock inlay. Always true to B.B. King’s original tone and specs, performers will get a Stereo Varitone paired to Gibson 490T and 490R Humbucking pickups.

The Mother of Pearl Full Block inlay fingerboard, TP-6 Fine Tune Tailpiece, and semi-hollow body composition are all iconic in their own right. The combination of a fine rounded 3-piece maple neck and a Richlite fingerboard with pearl block inlays. Composite midrange, punchy lows and a soft top end that won't get your teeth hurt. Ultimately, B. B. decided wanted to keep the six-position Varitone rotary switch, which rolls off highs in a pretty different way than by using the conventional tone control. Added an Ebony finish and you got the King's guitar.
