Epiphone Les Paul Standard highlights quality components for the pickups that include 1010 Cold Rolled pole, Steel pole shoes, and screws, Alnico magnets, ABS plastic bobbins, and the quality magnet wire. Les Paul Standard highlights a 14-degree headstock that gives you more pressure at the nut for more sustain with less tuning hang-ups created by string-tree gadgets. Epiphone Les Paul Standard features a nickel LockTone Bridge and StopBar Tailpiece Duo that auto-locks the bridge and tailpiece in place which also results in improved sustain. The pickup is placed in a specific wax vacuuming machine before the cover is placed on the unit to ensure that the wax thoroughly sticks to the center of the pickup and solidifies all parts. After the cover is placed on, the pickup is given a second vacuum wax bath until the whole unit is soaked.

Les Paul Standard is constructed with a solid mahogany body and a maple top. Epiphone LP Standard consists of solid hardware including locking Tune-o-Matic StopBar and a fully adjustable bridge. It features a rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays. The hand-set mahogany neck delivers outstanding resonance while medium-jumbo frets add soft and sustained tone. Epiphone uses a dual vacuum waxing process that ensures quiet operation, free from microphonic hum. The Epiphone Les Paul Standard uses 1-inch diameter potentiometers and all-metal toggle switches. Les Paul Standard has Grover machine heads on the tuners for stability and longer life.
