Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus Top ENS-HBCH1 has a pair of Alnico Classic Humbucker pickups that deliver a warm tone that when combined with tonewoods give you a melodious sound. Epiphone uses the quality parts for the pickups like ABS plastic bobbins, 1010 Cold Rolled Steel pole shoes and pole screws, Alnico magnets and the finest magnet wire. Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus Top features rock-solid hardware including locking Tune-o-Matic/StopBar fully adjustable bridge. The guitars' output jack features a contact shape and heavy-duty spring steel to increase reliability. It also includes Grover machine heads on the tuners for stability. Epiphone Les Paul Standard highlights a 14-degree headstock that pressures the nut for more sustain with less tuning hang-ups caused by string-tree gadgets.

ENS-HBCH1 features a Solid mahogany body and Flame maple Top that delivers the classic tone and sustain. The StopBar auto-locks the bridge and tailpiece in place with no tools needed. The Epiphone ENS-HBCH1 uses 1-inch diameter potentiometers and all-metal toggle switches use rugged spring-steel contacts to ensure reliable performance. A rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays completes the classic look and the hand set-neck delivers outstanding string-to-body resonance. Medium-jumbo frets add a smooth and sustained tone. Epiphone ENS-HBCH1 uses a double vacuum waxing system that ensures quiet operation, free from microphonic hum. The pickup is initially placed inside a specialized wax vacuuming system before the cover is placed on the unit to assure that the wax fully penetrates to the center of the pickup and solidifies all parts. After the cover is placed back on, it is again given a second vacuum wax bath until the whole unit is completely saturated with wax.
