AKG D12 VR Reference Large-Diaphragm Dynamic Microphone introducing with Cardioid Polar Pattern. Perfectly designed for kick drum recording applications, with a thin diaphragm to improve the low-frequency performance. It produces the warm sound via the original C414 transformer mainly effective at high signal levels. This D12 VR is equipped with three active filters presets to meet its sound shape with the kick drum’s character. While activated its output level is automatically reduced by 10 dB. Plus its filter settings can be managed to employ a switch on the microphone body. The D12 VR operates in passive mode and delivers the instrument's pure sound without phantom power.
