This C7’s advanced open-space capsule utilizes a uniquely designed inner-capsule holder and 3 window ports to overcome air turbulence and internal reflections at the backside of the capsule. It produces a greatly consistent super-cardioid polar pattern throughout the whole frequency spectrum, for spill rejection and excellent feedback.

AKG C7 loaded with an exclusive mechano-pneumatic shock absorber suspension which assures handling noise won’t mess up your sound. This capsule rests on the head of a special rubber insert, protecting vibrations from the house from arriving at the capsule. AKG explored broadly to obtain the best rubber to meet the spec, eventually working with a Viennese company to the source material with amazing strong absorptive qualities. This result is far better for mics that emphasize broad internal electronic filters to reduce handling noise.
